Sleepy Man

We went for a bike ride tonight....Carter loves them, and usually stays awake for the ride, not so much tonight!
Poor little man was so tired....we took him out of his seat, and he didn't even flinch or wake up. What a way to end the day right?

New Friends

Haylee has a new best friend. A girl I work with has a daughter who is a little over a year younger than Haylee. That doesn't matter to Brynn or Haylee, because when they get together, they have the best time together...with some forcing from the moms, we got some adorable pictures of the girls playing....

The girls finally made it INTO the swimming pool!

I am so happy that Haylee has Brynn around her and that she can grow up with, play with, and have fun with, and to have Brynn and Haylee live so close together is so nice...Haylee has a little brother, and I think it is so important for her to have a girl her age that she can get along with!

Now, to keep them friends....because how awesome will it be for Tiffany and I (along with our husbands) to say that the girls have known each other their entire lives, and have literally grown up together...

Thorntonfest

Thorntonfest is a festival that occurs every May. Byron and I see it as the official sign that summer is here. They have several booths from local businesses in Thornton, crafts, inflatable jumping castles and slides, as well as a petting zoo and pony rides.

This is Haylee's third Thorntonfest and she loves going. This was Carter's first time and he seemed to have a good time!

We had a really good time...and mommy got sunburned again...a definite sign that summer is here!

Offically a crawler.....

The title and the video speak for themselves!
How can he be this big already!?!?
Carter will be 10 months next Friday...his first year has flown by!

Last Day of Preschool

So we had our ups and downs with Haylee starting her first 1/2 year of preschool. We found a great Christian based preschool that has been so wonderful. They truly are there for the children, to help them learn and grow. Most mornings Haylee would cry as either I or Byron would drop her off...in the beginning it broke my heart, towards the end of school, it just annoyed me. Either way, our family has survived preschool.

On the last day of school, the school put on a program and lunch for the parents. It was so much fun to go and watch Haylee interact with her new friends and teachers. She is a shy little girl, but according to her teachers, (and I would totally have to agree) that Haylee was the best, loudest singer of all her classmates! They sang several songs that they have learned throughout the school year.

A couple of action shots:

This is a picture of Haylee crawling on the floor like a lady bug!

Here is Haylee singing a couple of different songs. She was so excited to have mommy and daddy there watching her. (Turn up your volume...it's hard to hear the friends singing!)

The little boy standing next to here was not too hip on the whole singing and dancing thing. Oh well, we can't all have shining stars that love the spot light right?!
